I got a 3.9 GPA does that count for anything? 122 IQ, does that count, nope! Im a negro so I must of had help getting here.

I had a friend sue UT for discrimination because she is white and didnt get in. Her father and big sis went to UT so naturally she want to go. But her GPA wasnt high enough and she didnt make top 10%, therefore there was no guarantee that she would get in. To add to the madness she want to get into the business school, which we all know is hell'a competitive. I know people that graduated in the top 5% of our high school class that were rejected from the business school. What made my friend thin she deserved to go to UT Business School? White entitlement.

Re: http://siditty.blogspot.com/2009/04/fear-of-minority-rule.html

Hi,

We have just added your latest post "The Fear of Minority Rule" to our Directory of Grant Programs . She's found somebody new.
THIS IS A COMMENT MADE BY BILL MAHER.

If conservatives don't want to be seen as bitter people who cling to
their guns and religion and anti-immigrant sentiments, they should stop
being bitter and clinging to their guns, religion and anti-immigrant
sentiments.

It's been a week now, and I still don't know what those "tea bag"
protests were about. I saw signs protesting abortion, illegal
immigrants, the bank bailout and that gay guy who's going to win
"American Idol." But it wasn't tax day that made them crazy; it was
election day. Because that's when Republicans became what they fear
most: a minority.

The conservative base is absolutely apoplectic because, because ...
well, nobody knows. They're mad as hell, and they're not going to take
it anymore. Even though they're not quite sure what "it" is. But they
know they're fed up with "it," and that "it" has got to stop.

Here are the big issues for normal people: the war, the economy, the
environment, mending fences with our enemies and allies, and the rule of
law.

And here's the list of Republican obsessions since President Obama took
office: that his birth certificate is supposedly fake, he uses a
teleprompter too much, he bowed to a Saudi guy, Europeans like him, he
gives inappropriate gifts, his wife shamelessly flaunts her upper arms,
and he shook hands with Hugo Chavez and slipped him the nuclear launch
codes.

Do these sound like the concerns of a healthy, vibrant political party?

It's sad what's happened to the Republicans. They used to be the party
of the big tent; now they're the party of the sideshow attraction, a
socially awkward group of mostly white people who speak a language only
they understand. Like Trekkies, but paranoid.

The GOP base is convinced that Obama is going to raise their taxes,
which he just lowered. But, you say, "Bill, that's just the fringe of
the Republican Party." No, it's not. The governor of Texas, Rick Perry,
is not afraid to say publicly that thinking out loud about Texas
seceding from the Union is appropriate considering that ... Obama wants
to raise taxes 3% on 5% of the people? I'm not sure exactly what Perry's
independent nation would look like, but I'm pretty sure it would be free
of taxes and Planned Parenthood. And I would have to totally rethink my
position on a border fence.

I know. It's not about what Obama's done. It's what he's planning. But
you can't be sick and tired of something someone might do.

Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota recently said she fears
that Obama will build "reeducation" camps to indoctrinate young people.
But Obama hasn't made any moves toward taking anyone's guns, and with
money as tight as it is, the last thing the president wants to do is run
a camp where he has to shelter and feed a bunch of fat, angry white
people.

Look, I get it, "real America." After an eight-year run of controlling
the White House, Congress and the Supreme Court, this latest election
has you feeling like a rejected husband. You've come home to find your
things out on the front lawn -- or at least more things than you usually
keep out on the front lawn. You're not ready to let go, but the country
you love is moving on. And now you want to call it a whore and key its
car.

That's what you are, the bitter divorced guy whose country has left him
-- obsessing over it, haranguing it, blubbering one minute about how
much you love it and vowing the next that if you cannot have it, nobody
will.

But it's been almost 100 days, and your country is not coming back to
you. She's found somebody new. And it's a black guy.

The healthy thing to do is to just get past it and learn to cherish the
memories. You'll always have New Orleans and Abu Ghraib.

And if today's conservatives are insulted by this, because they feel
they're better than the people who have the microphone in their party,
then I say to them what I would say to moderate Muslims: Denounce your
radicals. To paraphrase George W. Bush, either you're with them or
you're embarrassed by them.

The thing that you people out of power have to remember is that the
people in power are not secretly plotting against you. They don't need
to. They already beat you in public.

SIMONE

Re: http://siditty.blogspot.com/2009/04/fear-of-minority-rule.html

Listen up Republicans: It's been almost 100 days, and your country is
not coming back to you. These were Hispanics born in this country, but were "assumed" to be illegal immigrants because of their cultural heritage. Yup, can you say racial profiling gone wrong?

Some people are so fearful of the browning of America that they don't see this as a problem. If it were left up to them, there would be no immigrants allowed to come to this country.

Re: http://siditty.blogspot.com/2009/04/fear-of-minority-rule.html

Race is a social construct that has damaged people of color in particular. Even within the minority collective the color complex exists and continues to persist. This is due in large part to the tactics of White Supremacy divide and conquer.

I used to think that there was probably some fear driven agenda behind the release of the study which determined that Whit people will be the minority by 2042. However, recently, the findings of that study was challenged and it was discovered that it was indeed an erroneous conclusion give the way the racial breakdown was categorized.

Now, lets be honest, your mother is right. If for some reason Blacks became the majority, given our history, there is no way that we will consciously subjugate another collective the same way we were. I believe that this is the fear that is played upon when it comes to the White majority. It is this inherent fear that keeps the bullshit we deal with alive.

In truth, there are more people of color in the world than there are White folks. This is something they know, but the reality is that only few of them are in fact elites. So what they do? They create the "us vs. them" by demonizing another "class" of people.

When you think about it, its mostly the relatively poor Whites who have a blatant and overt issue with race as it pertains to other minorities.

Checkout the results of this recent study:

http://www.eurekalert.org/p...

Re: http://siditty.blogspot.com/2009/04/fear-of-minority-rule.html

Come by and checkout my latest blog...

I got something for you

HOLLA!

Re: http://siditty.blogspot.com/2009/04/fear-of-minority-rule.html

"I see more than a few African, haitian, jamaican, west indian folks replying back or even starting that debate."

OK. Told on this one...you really nailed the misconceptions some whites have of the "advantages" of being a minority in higher education.

I went to a good public university in GA that was less than 5% black (and we were the largest minority group). Right before I started a white female sued my university because she didn't get in. She said that had she been a male and a minority, she would have gotten in due to my university awarding .50 points for male applicants and .25 for minority applicants (at the time the university was overwhelming white and had way more female students than male, so that was there attempt at balancing it). What she didn't realise was that 85% of students admitted to my university got in based solely on grades and SAT scores. Only the 15% who were on the borderline had the point system applied to them. Eventually my school dropped the point system altogether, but it actually ended up screwing over white applicants more since legacy applicants received a full point. Since my school didn't desegregate until the 1960s, almost no minorities students qualified for the legacy point anyway.

I'm amazed how many people are misinformed about how affirmative action works in higher education. I remember one day at lunch during my 3rd year of undergrad I was eating with two of my friends, one black, one white and we were talking about how much more difficult our school was to get into now than when we applied. My white friend said "Yeah, I'm not sure if I would have gotten in but you two would have gotten in anyway because you're black." Even though she was my friend, I went off on her. I told her that no, I would have gotten in anyway 'cause I earned my spot like everyone else. I graduated with a GPA above 4.0 (due to AP classes in high school) and my SAT scores were high enough to get me into both NYU (which offered me a hefty merit scholarship) and University of Southern California. Both my friend and I trumped her on GPA and SAT, but she assumed we got in because we were black, not because we were good students. She also complained about the lack of scholarships for white middle class students and how much easier it would be to get a scholarship if she were black. I let her in on a little news flash: there ain't that many scholarships for black middle class students either.

Sorry for the long post, but stuff like this just really irks me!

Re: http://siditty.blogspot.com/2009/04/fear-of-minority-rule.html

if say, blacks became a majority, and whites a minority, there really isn't any guarantee that they wouldn't "take revenge".

The chances are slim to none, like I said, there is no pseudo science proving that blacks are superior to whites, there is no history of blacks colonizing the world and creating a white slave trade. There is no overwhelming financial and money power of black people. In comparison to whites, we still make less on average. These things can't and wouldn't change overnight. There is no way, even if whites were a minority, all the non whites would form an alliance for the sake of making the white man miserable. Not to mention they still hold power, if we were to "take over" they would have the money and resources to fight, which is what would definitely happen. Whites have been the minority in the majority of places they held power, they had the technology and weapons to keep the majority down and create an upper class that included themselves almost exclusively. Why would it be any different in America?

they weren't to begin with, and it seems fitting that our country so praised for being "the melting pot" should become truly mixed.

I think most whites only want to melt so much.

now, minorities are just as capable of getting power as the whites, or whatever the majority/group in control is.

I wish it to be true, but I don't see it happening and stats tend to back me up on this. Asians and blacks with the same level of education and work experience are still making less and don't advance career wise as easily as white folks in America. People in power tend to stick and work well with people who look like themselves, they will continue to do that, and with white people being in power, they will continue to be in power because they will groom and focus on those they like, which is usually someone of the same race and gender. That is life. I think the talk of "revenge" is a scare tactic as well. Whites are scared shitless because they know exactly what they hold, poor, rich or otherwise, to be white in America is a luxury compared to being non-white and no one wants to let that luxury go.

it's a little scary when the preacher needs his/her own sermons.

I acknowledge I have racist views at times, I think that most people are racist or prejudiced, they just don't want to acknowledge it.

just don't like you thinking that white people are too stupid to see the obvious truths you do, and that it's totally based on our feeling superior in our whiteness.

I'm sorry, but from my experience, most white folks don't get it, and even if I say it, they still don't get it, and dismiss it as me being a radical black racist. Maybe the rest of the world is different, but in Texas it isn't, that is my reality living here.

--------------

This is all the white's who are paranoid of "losing" power and becoming a minority group need to look at.

Soila,

I so agree that colonization is proof that white minority rule has been prevalent throughout history.

----------------

I think that if black people were able to become the majority, I don't think that anything would change. The white power structure would remain in place. Also, as it stands today, black people, both American born and foreign born, tend to be overly accepting of other groups, even to our detriment. We have a tendency to save our cruelist and most sadistic behavior for those who look like us.

I agree 100%

-----------------

Blacks have never organized with the intent of destroying White people. If anything, sadly we are too wrapped up in killing each other to be a threat to killing off and wiping White people from the face of the earth.

So very true.

I also think sites like chimpout, isteve, and enrollment in non kkk pro-white organizations will increase ten fold. Maybe the KKK will have the ability to increase their numbers back to their hey day of five or six million. I definitely see it happening. I have yet to see the white people suck blog yet, but I know where the "Why Blacks Suck" blog is at.

I see writers like Louis Stoddard, Madison Grant, and Samuel George Morton making a comeback, as well as intellectual racism. Multiculturalism is on the decline and derided by most as PC (I don't know why it is considered PC not to assume everyone is like white folks), it will soon die in favor of this scientific racism.

------------------

I have had the opportunity to befriend some White South Africans and they talked about how they had to flee because the Black South Africans burned down their farms and killed some of their friends or relatives in retaliation for everything that had gone on over the years. They talked about how they didn't see how it was their fault that they had to pay for what the government did and the land was rightfully theirs, etc. I guess it helps to listen to both sides.

I find it odd that this happened in South Africa, but yet in South Africa demographics wise if you look at wealth and class, whites are still on top. Many whites fled out of fear of retaliation, but many still live there, even with the corrupt government in place. In Zimbabwe, where this did happen under Mugabe's rule, it was stopped with a quickness and given world attention, when it was happening the other way around, no one gave a damn.

They didn't understand why their privilege was seen as a something that was bad. They didn't understand why their government allowed them these privileges, but yet they didn't fight to get rid or them or question why others didn't get the privileges they had when others were in power. I always wonder why now I am supposed to see the people in this situation as victims of ALL blacks, when they never saw the blacks that did this as victims of a government they supported.

I can't see the other side on this, sorry. Especially since this isn't the norm looking at most of colonized history.

--------------

By the way, do African Americans have a stereotype that non-AA Blacks look down on them? I am not AA, but I don't look down on anyone.

Yes, Grata has a great post on her blog about this. Often times whites use non-AA blacks as proof that racism is just in the mind of the lazy black americans. Why can't they succeed like the other blacks is often touted, without looking at our history in THIS COUNTRY, our treatment, and how we are all lumped together as poor, living in the ghetto, and uneducated, without regards to looking at the actual numbers.

Chris Matthews in the video is doing the, why can't blacks here pull themselves up by the bootstrap argument that I often hear so much from racist white folks.

They completely negate the history of slaver and Jim Crow in their argument.

--------------

If you type into youtube Africans Vs African Americans, you will be bombarded by a whole range of people insulting Africans with the occasional African writing back trading insults.

I see more than a few African, haitian, jamaican, west indian folks replying back or even starting that debate.

----------------

I always wonder how people know that "my friend Bobby didn't get in here, but some (insert Black or Hispanic) kid with lower grades did." Did they go to the registrar's office and search through the grades?

No they just heard what mommy and daddy told them and it was in their eyes absolute truth, they had to find excuse why Bobby didn't get in, but of course his whiteness makes his grades automatically better than a black or hispanic that got in.

---------------

You captured the mindset well. Except you forgot about the guaranteed 6 figure starting salary that will come immediately after graduation, LOL.

Oh yeah I forgot about that and the black mercedes guaranteed to all blacks for graduating from college. Think of it as a parting gift LOL

Re: http://siditty.blogspot.com/2009/04/fear-of-minority-rule.html

I just saw those posts over at my blog with C1 on the roast. Now I think I know why he is on a break. Those comments took place in March, I didn't see anything until a few days ago, neither did others, and he went on break before then. He went on "leave" before anyone went over there roasting him. Maybe he had to take a step back, but seriously some of those comments were going to rub folks the wrong way, and typically aren't the comments from a guy dating IR. I think he knew that. He knew it wasn't going to go well.

I don't agree with him at all, and it is reminiscent of a Steve Sailer. Hell Sean Hannity had to separate himself from Sailer he is that bad.
